Based on the interests of its founder and managing board, the Foundation has chosen to create strategic initiatives in four program areas: how we measure progress; how we address the global HIV/AIDS pandemic; how we ensure diversity of voices in our media; and how we treat animals.
The Foundation was created, endowed and is led by Rob Glaser, CEO of RealNetworks. Since its creation in 1993, the Glaser Progress Foundation has distributed over 21 million dollars for philanthropic purposes. The Foundation is located in Seattle with a staff of three: Executive Director Martin Collier, Program Officer Mitchell Fox, and Operations Manager Melessa Rogers.
