We’ve worked for 30 years in Nepal, Tibet, and Tibetan settlements in the Himalaya, helping those who have no one else.
Our commitment:
-We build schools and much more – teacher training, books, blankets, and beds for hostels, everything needed to make sure kids actually get an education.
-In health care we build and run clinics, train doctors and nurses, and ensure the poorest disabled kids get surgery
-We are keeping Tibetan culture alive – basic survival first with schools, clean water and health care and enterprise ventures for the future.
-We are passionate about saving girls from being sold.
How we do it:
-We know the territory and where to intervene to create the greatest impact for the least cost.
-We make bets on people and back them – they know what their communities need – and everything we do involves local commitment.
-We take the long view on creating change, and we’re strategic about designing solutions for the present and the future.
-We are fast and flexible: we can respond quickly in situations where that is appropriate.
